Data collection regarding the subjects’knowledge, belief, practice and high risk factors of type 2 diabetes prevention werecompleted throgh a questionnaire survey and physica l examina tion before education, sixmontheducation and one- year education, and analyzed .Results:1.After 1 year ,there was no individ ual development diabetes in both group.2.After 6 monthes, the scores regarding knowledge, beliefe, practice and percentage ofhypertention of subjects in Group1 were improved and the weight, total cholesterol weredescreased tha n baseline(P<0.05). In Group 2, some items of their knowledge, practic e and control percentage of hypertention were better, and their weight and blood glucosewere lower tha n before(p<0.05). At the end of one year, the scores regardingknowledge ,beliefe, practice and the control percentage of hypertention of subjects inGroup 1 were better and their weight and fasting blood glucose were significa ntly reduced(P<0.05).In addition ,the control percentage of hypertention of group2 was increased(P<0.05).3.Comparing the effects of two kinds of education, after an half year, the knowledge, believe, practice and control percentage of hypertention of subjects in Group1 werebetter tha n those in Group 2(P<0.05). Moreover, at one year , the knownledge, beliefe, practice and their control percentage of hypertention of subjects in Group1were better(P<0.05)and fasting glucose were lower tha n those in Group2.Conclusion:Different education for community population with a high risk of type 2diabetes mellitus ,could have some contribution in prima ry prevention. The systematic andregularly reinforced education is more effective in improving population’s diabetesprevention knowledge、believe、practice and the control percentage of hypertention andreducing fasting blood glucose(P<0.05),and could keep a long consequence. Andthe opening and unregularly follow-up education is more flexible on time and huma nresorts. In a suggested that community hospitals could choose a more adaptive educationmethod according to its condition.
