Abstract


With the tide of experience economy and the rapid progress of lighting technology, the current lighting development is faced with a new pattern. For home users, it is the crucial moment to change the old understanding on family lighting. The traditional method of lighting design restricts the quality of home lighting to a large extent and hard to stimulate the user’s expectations for high-quality lighting, therefore, a design method that attention to the nature of user needs and emphasize the subjective user experience has become an important means to meet the lighting development trends under the current situation.This article starts with the relationship between user experience and home lighting, giving a detailed description of experience and experience design to verify the experience’s important role in our life, at the same time, through a deep analysis of the characteristics and status of household lighting and household lighting design to bring household lighting’s urgent need for experience design. On this basis, the article put forward the design method of home lighting that emphasizes the user experience. The method will start with the three parts of user research, interaction design and experience evaluation. Eventually, paper will present the goal of "user collaborated with design, user accessed experience", start the discussion of a new user-centric design method, and verify the feasibility and practicality of this method through the case.The core of his paper is to give the thought of experience to household lighting, and integrate the methods of experience design into household lighting design. This process will comply with the trend of the future of lighting development, and provide a new reference to the improvement of living environmental quality.
