The peach is one of China’s major economic fruit trees in China, but also one of the widely planted trees, it has the important position in People’s Daily life. China is the one of the origin place of the peach, which with peach tree culture history of more than 4,000 years, while China is also the world’s growing power and yield power of peach, but not trade superpower. With the background of China’s agricultural market overall opening to the outside world, trade protectionism growth and China-ASEAN Free Trade Area formal start of opportunities and challenges coexist, how the China’s peach export situation is, whether the comparative advantages in the international competition have, and what the main export influence factors are such problems are the growers, export enterprises and related government departments concerned questions.Based on the system analysis on production, trade, processing and current consumption situation of China and world peach mainly produced countries, we introduce International Market Share, Trade Competitive Advantage Index and Revealed Comparative Advantage Index to calculate the international competitiveness of China and world peach mainly produced countries, the study found that in the international competition the international competitiveness of China’s fresh peach and nectarine had no comparative advantages, and peach canned had strong comparative advantages; Meanwhile, based on 2000-2009 between China and 12 trade partner’s panel data, using the trade gravity model, and using random effects and fixed effect estimate methods,we empirical analysis the export influence factors of China’s peach, found China’agricultural GDP, import countries’GDP, China’agricultural GDP per capita, import countries’GDP per capita, distance, the bilateral real exchange rate and APEC this seven variables significantly influence China’s peach & manufactured products exports; On this basis we calculate the trade potential, found that the exports China’s peach & manufactured products have great potential. Finally, we summarize and propose to improve China’s peach industry international competitiveness from the government, enterprises, cooperatives and association three aspects.
