Abstract


In China, more than 90% of the blast furnace raw materials are provided by the sintered material. Using of sinter can improve the efficiency of the blast furnace, decrease coke rate, and result in good economic benefits. The moisture content of mixed sinter has a direct impact on the sinter production and quality, therefore accurate control the moisture content of mixed sinter is very important in the production process. At present, in the majority of steel plant, the operator controlled the mixed process of adding water by their experiences. This method is not only labor intensive, but also difficult to accurately and timely regulate the flow of water. It makes the moisture content instability, as a result reduce the production of sinter and increase of production costs. Therefore, designing an effective control system for automatic allocation of water is a problem which need solve urgently.This paper, based on the project of computer control system for sinter mixture of Benxi steel plant, designed and developed the control strategy and control system for sinter mixture process.First of all, starting from the entire sintering process, focused on the three parts: ingredients、first and secondary mix which have the close relationship with Sinter mixture moisture. Combining the characteristics and the control requirements of the process, researched and developed the two-layer architecture of computer control system for sintering material moisture, including PMS(process monitoring system) and PCS(process control system).The whole system is divided into three control loops:ingredients control loop circuit, first mix control loop, the second mix control loop. This paper designed the detailed function and the strategy for each loop respectively. Through document retrieval and surveys, considering the cost and system requirements as well as other aspects, the appropriate choice of detection, control and regulation equipment have been made, then the hardware completed.Adopting the above-mentioned strategy to designed and developed the computer soft system, complete upper station and PLC configuration. Upper station used KingView software as the monitoring system development platform. And completed PLC configuration、PLC with upper station communication configuration and upper station configuration. Upon completion of control system configuration, built the actual control system then tested control system functions and performance, finally it achieved moisture data acquisition, automatic control, remote monitoring and alarm functions.
