Abstract


The analysis of PE teaching is the key to carrying out the essential-qualities-oriented education and promoting a new round of PE teaching reforms. In order to pass the knowledge to students, teachers should be flexible and creative in their application of PE teaching strategies. With the deepening of the eighth PE teaching reforms, building PE teaching strategies suited to new curriculum criteria poses an urgent and difficult task to PE educators.Theoretically based on education, psychology, new curriculum criteria perspective and the Teaching Optimization Theory, the paper respectively analyses and illustrates the connotation, characteristics, classifications and elements of PE teaching strategies after profound analysis of teaching practice and new curriculum criteria. The research methods applied include documentary research, expert-interviewing research, survey research and comparative analysis research. The conclusions are listed as follows:1. The main factors affecting PE teaching strategies include teachers, students, teaching environment, media and PE curriculum itself.2. Combining PE theory and teaching practice, PE teaching strategies play an important role in PE teaching and PE learning. The paper puts forward implementation strategies through the analysis of teaching theory and each section of PE teaching practice. The author proposes specific ways and procedures of fostering PE teaching strategies, serving the PE educators as references.3. The analysis of PE teaching strategies is a brand-new subject. It is an entry point of current PE teaching reforms. The construction of PE teaching strategies fully demonstrates the idea of taking educating people as the foremost and defining the students as principal roles. It also helps mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of the students. Constrained by the proficiency of the author, the views put forward in this paper are not systematic and perfect enough. How to maximize the efficiency of PE teaching strategies in teaching practice requires serious consideration. Constructing PE teaching strategies is a systematic project, which needs the common efforts of PE educators.
