Abstract


The 21st century is the age of knowledge-based economy,and all countries are in the competition,no matter what form it is,in fact,the competition is the competition of economic strength.However,the competition of the economic strength is the competition of the technological strength and talent competition,among these,innovation ability is the most critical.Therefore,the age of knowledge economy strongly calls for high-level innovation talents,which is the essense of high-school reform and countries’ development.It is clear that higher education must serve the national innovation system,adapting to the need of society,paying attention to the cultivation of innovation capacity.It is not only the last choice of higher education,but also the important mission of higher school given by national innovation system.This paper illustrates the current situation of gratuate’s innovation ability,pointing out the lower level,and then analyses objective factors and subjective factors,based on the understanding of innovation capacity and combined with the development of higher education.The objective factors are:little interest in scientific research;being not good at thinking;lacking of scientific spirit and knowledge.The subjective factors are:Chinese traditional culture imprions students’ creative thinking;imperfect system of graduate admissions,which emphasizes on the written examination results and neglects the actual ability.Besides,the test subjects are rigid and single,post-graduate scholarship plays no role on incentive;Supervision mechanisms are not enough;Curriculums are unreasonable;Fixed training model;Innovation environment is not so good and so on.For these influence factors,the paper puts forward the countermeasures on improving innovation ability of Chinese higher education,combined with the teaching form of Germany,the United States, Britain,and the recent reform of our country’s post-graduate education.These strategy include:to break the traditional concept of graduate education,to reform the current postgraduate test mode about admission,to reform the teaching management system,actively promoting the innovation of education systems,and building a new team of graduate students,strengthening the guiding role of the mentors and creating a better environment for innovation.
