Abstract


In this study, questionnaire, open-ended survey questions and case interviews are used to survey the situation of Middle School Teachers’ Occupational Stress , Career Commitment and Subjective Well-being, as to explore the impact of their Occupational Stress and Career Commitment on their Subjective Well-being, providing a new perspective for the Middle School Teachers’ professional growth in the context of New Curricula. So that it is of important guiding meaning and applied value on the current Middle School Teachers’vocational psychological adjustment and the foster of their positive mental quality.The results are as follows:1、The standard of Middle School Teachers’ Occupational Stress stays higher in general. The top three Occupational Stress sources are from the students, examinations,and their self-development needs. The overall level of the teachers’ Career Commitment is not high, the highest is Normative Commitment, Affective Commitment comes second, the Continuance Commitment stays the lowest. Ordinary stays the Middle School Teachers’ Subjective Well-being ,that is to say,they haven’t been in a very happy mind state.2、When SWB are predicted by Occupational Stress, Career Commitment and their dimensions ,only Affective Commitment enters the multi—regression equation and can predict SWB positively , which shows that Career Commitment predicts SWB positively mainly through Affective Commitment .The stress from the teachers’ families and their interpersonal relations has significant negative predictable effects on SWB,which means the Occupational Stress has a significant role in the negative prediction.to SWB.3、The Middle School Teachers’ Affective Commitment has a signicant intermediate regulating role between Occupational Stress and SWB, similarly,Occupational Stress also has a significant intermediate regulating role between Affective Commitment and SWB. Long-term high occupational stress will not only directly reduce SWB, but also drop SWB indirectly by reducing the affective commitment. Samely,not only can enhancing teachers’ affective commitmentimprove their SWB directly, but also can increase SWB intermediately by reducing their Occupational Stress.
