Abstract


Along with the enrollment expansion of universities, higher education becomes more and more popular. The increase of the graduates causes great pressure to the entire society. The employment of graduates becomes a new focus following the re-employment and migrant workers. Therefore, advocating the graduates to start their own businesses is one of the solutions to alleviate the problems. Meanwhile academic circle begins to discuss relative issues about students starting their own businesses, which is being forwarded to a new chapter by the introduction of self-efficacy. The research has found that self-efficacy plays an essential part in seducing entrepreneurial behavior and entrepreneurial thinking. Based on this, starting with the study of entrepreneurial self-efficacy of graduates, the thesis explores its action mechanism on entrepreneurial intention, and then the role that prospective personality plays in the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention.Through further study into domestic and abroad theoretical achievements, guided by relative theory about entrepreneurial self-efficacy, prospective personality and entrepreneurial intention, the thesis further discusses how self-efficacy works on intention and the effect of prospective personality plays in between.The study is divided into five parts.Part one. introduction. From academic and practical views, clarify the purpose, significance of the thesis, and then demonstrate the method used to the do the research and the frame of the study.Part two. literature review of relative theories. After the overview on the theory about self-efficacy, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, prospective personality and entrepreneurial intention, the purpose of the thesis will be further discussed.Part three, research design. Based on the second part, this one will form the premier research model under some hypotheses. And then design the questionnaire referring to the analysis on existing documents.Part four, empirical research. Classifying and analyzing the data collected by distributing the questionnaires, and then testing the reliability and validity of the scales using SPSS 17.0, which will also be used to do the data analysis. Illustrating the relationship among the variables through factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis to certify the assumptions raised earlier and draw some conclusions.Part five, conclusions and suggestions. According to the conclusions of the research, the thesis will modify the theoretical model and advise on future research. Limitations and expectations on further research can be found at last.The thesis comes into some constructive conclusions as below. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy do connect to entrepreneurial intention, basing on the survey in some universities in the city of Dalian, and prospective personality do the accommodation during the process. Then the thesis puts forward the idea of strengthening entrepreneurial intention by improving entrepreneurial self-efficacy, which also offers reference to schools, governments and the whole society.
