Abstract


Currently, along with the constant development of 3G service, 3GPP declared clearly thatSIP would be the core controlling protocol in the system of IMS in order to provide the mainlymanaging ability of IP multimedia network. SIP protocol which are text-based was initiallydesigned for the rich band network application, if it is used in wireless network that bandwidth isvery narrow , it will occupy vast resource of bandwidth and spend more time on setting up thecall, so it is not fit for application. As a result, we propose a signaling compression technology,which can resolve the bandwidth problem.Firstly, the paper introduces the principle and the structure of SIP protocol, and madesome research work on the IPS. Especially, the transmission and controlling of signaling isanalyzed in detail. Then the author analyzed the system of signal compression, and puts forwardtwo kinds of tactics about signaling compression. The author also compared the two compressionalgorithms, which signaling compression need some algorithms in compression anddecompression, and elected the better one: LZSS arithmetic. On this foundation, the paper comesup with the improvement solution of signaling compression so as to reduce the moretime-detention of SIP communication massage transmission.Finally, the author demonstrated the improved solution based on the IPS , and acquired theexpected result.
