Abstract


In the late 70s last century, China’s banking industry introduced computer automatic processing system instead of the traditional manual operation system,which ushered in the period of Banking Industry Informationization. With more than 30 years’development, China banking industry has been highly informationized in transaction processing and inner management, the traditional banking business conception, business model and internal control mechanisms experienced the fundamental change.As banking IT innovation deepens, banks become more dependent on information technology, which arises a series of problems in the aspects of information secure and informational risk.Therefore, how to take precaution against and dissolve the risk have become the new concerns and challenges for commercial banks and the supervisory authority. This article attempts to theoretically analyze the induced factors and forming mechanisms of banking risk under information age from the views of the traditional business and information technology. Besides, it explains the possible manifestations of informationization risk in both micro and macro aspects and assess the impact of electronic payment on liquidity risk of China’s bank using empirical testing perspective. Due to the present situation of inadequate regulator laws, insufficient regulatory measures and ineffective regulatory results, learning from foreign banking experience and combining it with China’s reality is quite necessary, and therefore strengthening internal controls and external supervision become two important strategies for researching information risk of bank
