Abstract

Landfill disposal of municipal solid waste has become a research focus of Urban Environmental Geotechnology in recent years. Aiming at the worldwide difficulty, that is, groundwater is polluted by high-concentration and complex leachate from landfill plant, taking Fuxin Landfill Plant as the research object, the mechanism of water-rock interaction and the capacity of penetrating into soil layer of pollution components, such as COD, total hardness, SO42- and Cl-, were systematically studied through the laboratory contradistinctive soil column in different periods. Fresh leachate was easier to penetrate into soil layer and pollute groundwater. Transportation and transformation regularity of pollution components of leachate was revealed in soil- groundwater at different angles, such as physical chemistry, biology and heterosphere, by heterogeneous sand-box model experiment. The sequence of pollution component migration velocity was Cl->total hardness> SO42->CODCr. Based on preceding experiments, according to hydrogeologic condition and experimental parameters of the researched area, the pollution situation of Cl- in heterogeneous aquifers was predicted by the numerical simulation, and the simulation results were analyzed ang verified. The findings can provide reference for preventing, controlling and treating groundwater pollution in landfill region scientifically and efficiently.
