Abstract


The LD process developed rapidly since 1950’s and become the mainstream nowadays. The converter gas need purification before released because the environment pollution and energy waste which caused by high CO and dust contented gas released directly.The none-combustion gas purification treatment process contains non-aqueous reprocessing, dry-wet reprocessing and wet reprocessing. The wet reprocessing including OG process and RSW process, and non-aqueous reprocessing mainly including LT process. The dry-wet reprocessing is used less because of bad effectiveness of dedusting and energy utilization rate. OG process is widely used in domestic melting shops and already formed matured operation and management systems. The quality of air improved because dust content in released gas is about 100mg/Nm3, Some internal industries start to use RSW process in recent years, it can save water and power as well as increase the purification effectiveness. But RSW and OG belong to wet reprocessing and the abilities of dedusting and gas recycles can’t improved further based on the unchanged system of dedusting by means of water cleaning gas and high system resistance. The dedusting efficiency of LT process is high because it cooling gas by atomization cooling water with double mediums nozzles and high dedusting efficiency based on rededusting by electrostatic precipitator(EP or ESP). And benefited by low system pressure loss the consumption of water and power dramatic declined and gas recycles level improved apparently. The applied range of LT process is small because the key technological is controlled by foreign companies and the prior period investment is high and the requests on stable operation of steelmaking are quite strict.The requirements of improve environment quality and decline resource consumption by using new process and technology are actively increasingly in metallurgy enterprises because of austere zoology and resource situation and increasingly rise cost. It is possible that LT gas treatment process be used in domestic melting shop with the improvement of steel making overall equipments level and national industrial policy support and the change of international exchange rate. Shougang Group local on Shijingshan, Beijing. The metallurgy industry of Shougang Group will in succession removal from Beijing according to the development planning of Beijing city. SGBY Ltd. is a sub-item of the base which builds in Jingtang haven, Tangshan city, Hebei province. The main steel making equipments of SGBY Ltd. are autonomous integrated. The converter gas purification process needs feasibility study because there are three selections, classical OG process, new RSW process and LT process. Main researches were carried in this paper, such as:(1) Discuss on the necessity of item execution and feasibility of process;(2) Technology assessment on three type schemes which including OG process, RSW process and LT process;(3) Item development scheme of three type schemes;(4) Financial evaluation of three type schemes.LT process is an advanced technology through the technology and economy evaluation to three type schemes although its investment higher than other two processes. The advantages of this process including short payback period and high profit level and the obvious effect on environment protection and resource save. LT process should be used to purge and recycle converter gas in melting shop of SGBY Ltd. Some opinions and proposals for the implementation of LT are given in this paper.
