This paper analyzes the elevation of the quality standards for the tablets of ShengRu, and develops an application of quality standards in line with the SFDA.The tablets of ShengRu is a component preparation extracted from nine kinds of Chinese herbal medicines. We developed methods for qualitative identification of Codonopsis Pilosula, saikosaponin, Atractylodes, seed of cowheb and radlx rhapontici in the tablets of ShengRu by TLC.The contents of ferulic acid and astragaloside in the tablets of ShengRu were determinated by HPLC, and then the corresponding standard curve, repeatability, reproducibility, stability, recovery rate, the property, and durability were studied, finally we determined that astragaloside per tablet should not be less than 0.15 mg, and ferulic acid per tablet should not be less than 0.25 mg.On this basis, we developed Rhizoma Chuanxiong content standard by HPLC, which is not provided in 2005 edition of“Chinese Pharmacopoeia”. And we compared the corresponding relationships of two different treatment methods to determine the content of astragaloside, which will contribute to calculating extraction and transfer rate of ferulic acid and astagaloside in production process.
