Abstract


After the Cold War , the international situation is undergoing profound changes , also changed the role of various countries in the international arena , which makes countries must change with the time , the degree of potential new development goals and the strategy and tactics to cope with the dramatic changes , ultimately achieve the goal of safeguarding national interests . In this international context , in the United States as a big country has an important influence on international affairs , have started to re-adjust the focus of the strategic framework and national interests , this re- adjustment directly affects the in and the United States on Africa 's diplomatic strategy and policy . After the Cold War, the political and economic situation in Africa continue to change for the better , the political situation is relatively stable , successive years of sustained growth since the mid - 1990s on the economic status is also rising in the international community , therefore , become the focus of all the major countries in Africa the focus . In the United States have also strengthened the participation of African Affairs , Africa 's diplomatic work in the political , economic , cultural , educational , health , and safety aspects , in full swing , and the formation of a more formal and mature policy guidelines .
