The distributed file system is to use the network to multiple machines constitute a virtual file system. This paper studies a distributed file system for mass mail storage, the outside has a strong fault tolerance, availability and scalability, it must have a high I / O performance. Is written directly for the mail special sources, the system must support a variety of data sources. To this end, this paper focuses on the following questions and so the system: First of all, according to the needs of the project file system in a reasonable analysis of the the already distributed architecture based on the design of the distributed file system architecture. According to the architecture, design and the various components of the system. Second, in writing and reading began to design a distributed file system internal algorithm, the introduction of read and write locks and leases. In the process of reading and writing data, the different components of the multi-strategy research systems load balancing. Again, different sources for e-mail, a general data source FTP, HTTP, FILE, dedicated e-mail source SMTP, IMAP and POP3 research public interface of multiple data sources and the public interface of the distributed file system write. In order to enhance the system's I / O performance and data integrity, and added to the file format of the stored compressed, and synchronization information. Finally, the distributed file system I / O performance test.
