Abstract

By studying the main desktop firewall product , analysis of the mechanisms and principles of their work , as well as the problem of the validity of the data packet filtering , efficient filtration system security . Based on NDIS intermediate driver data packet filtering technology is making desktop firewall system is effective , efficient , and secure core , constructed based on the Winsock SPI and NDIS intermediate driver two data packet filtering model , given the realization of the program . This paper first discusses the the Winsock SPI data packet filtering technology on the Microsoft Windows platform and its applications in the desktop firewall systems . Followed by the Microsoft Windows NDIS intermediate driver development , desktop firewall system ; parse and summarize the NDIS intermediate driver works and workflow . And on this basis , the two data packet filtering model based on the Winsock SPI and NDIS intermediate driver design . Further construct - desktop firewall system / Desktop Firewall System, system implementations and related test results . The test results show that the Winsock SPI and NDIS intermediate driver two data packet filtering system / DFS - effectively audit the access of desktop applications on the network , and can effectively prevent network attacks and malicious access from the Internet and Intranet ; when running in a desktop system , system resources , take up less smaller impact on the speed of the network access ; effective protection can be achieved on the desktop . Therefore, it can be said to adopt the Winsock SPI and NDIS intermediate driver two composite filter model is a practical and effective desktop firewall model .
