Abstract


As an important communication means to assist the short-wave and satellite communication, meteor burst realizes communication using reflected radio signals which is produced by ionization burst when meteor pops into atmosphere. It is a very important transmission means in strategic minimally communication. It is the last resort a country has for counter attack when other communications are under attack (especially nuclear attack).In the demonstration process of meteor burst communication networking, simulation is adopted to analyze the network performance of meteor burst communication to provide a reliable basis for the technology breakthroughs of meteor burst communication system.In this paper, based on study of the meteor channel’s processing method, the measured data of meteor burst is analyzed, channels’distribution rules is obtained and channel model is constructed; on the basis of meteor burst communication and networking topology study, OPNET tools is used for network model construction and simulation; channel model result from channel analysis is introduced into OPNET network model, various network constructions are simulated, the results are analyzed and provide sufficient support for meteor burst communication system and network design..This system contains meteor burst channel model and network simulation software. The meteor burst channel model includes data analysis processing software and channel modeling simulation software. The channel distribution rules and parameter information is extracted to be used by network simulation software. Network simulation software implements traffic processing node and channel node etc, also simulates and analyzes scenarios under stop-and-wait and go-back-N protocols.
