With the rapid development of the knowledge-based economy and the continuousupgrading of the management philosophy, the organizational structure of the company isgradually moving to flat, and virtual team, as a new organizational model of humanresource that can adapt to the complexity, diversity and uncertainty of the externalenvironments, meets the needs of collaboration among organizations and the effectiveallocation of resources, arouses widely attention in the industry and is applied.Meanwhile, in today’s social knowledge has emerged as a very important productionfactor and become an important strategic resource to obtain long-term competitiveadvantage, so the importance of knowledge management increase every day. Therefore,how to promote and enhance the level of knowledge sharing in virtual team becomes akey research issue in the field of enterprise management.Firstly, this paper reviews the relevant theories, including related concepts and theircharacteristics of virtual teams, social networks and knowledge sharing; analyses theinternal relations among social networks, virtual teams and the knowledge sharing,including analysis for the domestic and foreign relevant research and on the basis ofreading a large number of literatures, combined with the characteristics of virtual teamand knowledge sharing process, summarize the knowledge sharing influence factors,propose virtual team knowledge sharing barriers and problems, build virtual teamknowledge sharing model based on social networks. Lay the foundation for introducingsocial network analysis method.Secondly, carry out quantitative centrality analysis, cohesive subgroup analysis andpositions analysis to the virtual team knowledge sharing network model. Centralityanalysis, mainly study from the three dimensions of node centrality, closeness centralityand betweenness centrality, so can identify key nodes or sub-groups in the virtual teamnetwork. Cohesive subgroup analysis, mainly through N-cliques analysis and cohesionanalysis to find some sub-networks and sub-groups in the overall network Position and role analysis is major to measure structural equivalence of network, identify the actorsbeing similar in position.Finally, on the basis of data analysis many suggestions are proposed on how toimprove knowledge sharing in virtual team. Using high centrality members to optimizethe network structure and enhance knowledge sharing level, build the knowledgecommunity and platform based on key subgroups in the knowledge-sharing network,assign similar actors to mutually exclusive cliques, thereby strengthening the knowledgesharing frequencies among small groups in the network And do an empirical study to theGulf Security Technology Co. Ltd in the local region.
