Study of population migration is one important part in population studies, population migration is a type of move in the geographic location, the number and density of population will have been changed through population migration, the relationship between labor supply and demand will has also been changed, the move to both sides will have political, economic, cultural and demographic aspects of their development. At the same time the economic development has counterproductive on population migration. Large migration flows are unavoidable in the course of the development of city, with the development of Nanjing "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", population migration of Nanjing will continue to be a more prominent phenomenon for a long period of time. So attention on migration flows is necessary. This paper intends to move from the perspective of population, make specific analysis of moving population in Nanjing contribution to economic development.This paper is divided into five parts. First, we analysis this moving population in Nanjing and economic development trends and characteristics, the result show that, between 1992~2008, the population migration and economic development both in the number of growing trends, Nanjing’s economic growth mainly by the second and third industry led.Second, through analysis population indicators and economic development indicators of the Pearson correlation coefficient, on the interaction between the development of relations and interaction for the dynamic analysis, and by the rate model, we study the interaction between the two. The results show that the moving population and economic development of Nanjing interaction and interactive development not only real-time synchronization effect, but also show hysteresis, that is accumulation effect.Third, on the basis of CD production function, we establish the contribution of moving population to economic development rate model, corresponding policy recommendations put forward, and give the method to estimate the indicators.Fourth, estimate population of Nanjing moving population contribution to economic development, the results show that contribution rate increased year by year, indicate that the population moving into the growing role of economic development. And on this basis, to forecast Nanjing moving population contribution to economic development in the few years.Fifth, According to the conclusions of the study to conclude, this dissertation has some innovation value on the research angle,methods, especially through the analyses of the moving population contribution to economic development of Nanjing, some results and views having innovation value have been obtained.
