Abstract


In this paper the issues of the automobile assembly line had been analyzed and researched with method study and time study based on IE theory and TPS. Conceptions of just in time, automatization and improvement of TPS had been applied to the optimization of the assembly line to improve its dependability, efficiency and quality as well as to pursue the integral benefit of the enterprise through persistent improvementA useful tool for systematic improvement of the production system is illustrated. First, map the current state of the system using specified legend, then design a desired state of the future, and achieve thisfuture state with the implementation of the key technique. By integrating the material flow and information flowin the analysis process , it’s much easier to calculate the time for no value2adding activities and to find outthe break point in material flow. Wastes in the production system will be exposed. An application case is provided to illustrate benefits of this tool.Through research on the optimizing problem of JIEFANG Automobile Co., Ltd, thisthesis proposes relevant improving measures on on-spot management and assembly craftsmanshipand several rearrange plan for each station. The thesis is not only valuable for JIEFANG Automobile CO., Ltd., but also holds reference value for the assembly line balance of other likeenterprise.
