Abstract

Objective : To explore the role of the sphenoid sinus CT scan three-dimensional reconstruction after single transsphenoidal pituitary tumor resection . Methods : application of multislice CT and AQI imaging workstation on 54 cases of patients with pituitary tumors preoperative sphenoid thin slice CT scan three-dimensional reconstruction , observed sphenoid gasification type , separated situation , sphenoid and sellar and measurement the front ridge of the nose to the the pituitary fossa minimum distance OD front ridge of the nose to the shortest distance OE sphenoid sinus anterior wall the former ridge of the nose to the angle between the the the pituitary fossa lowest point and the nasal floor plane ∠ the AOD front ridge of the nose to the bilateral anterior bed the raised midpoint between the nasal floor plane angle ∠ AOB, the former ridge of the nose to the angle between the sphenoid sinus the crypts and nose bottom plane ∠ AOC, and internal carotid artery pressure trace distance away from the center line of . Comparing authentication with the actual anatomy during surgery . Results: the 1.54 patients sphenoid gasification varying degrees , 24 cases of bilateral gasification ( the same type sphenoid ) ; bilateral gasification ( different types of sphenoid ) 30 cases ; which bilateral gasification good in 37 cases ; side of gasification good , the other side of gasification poor 12 cases ; bilateral gasification misfits five cases . Sphenoid separated was the midline sagittal 14 cases ; 15 cases left ; -right in 19 cases ; other types (including varying degrees oblique transverse ) 6 . Over the sellar midpoint with Nassion of line perpendicular signs sphenoid sinus in 12 cases of sellar midline before sphenoid sinus in the saddle bottom the midline below those 32 cases , 10 cases in the sellar midline after sphenoid sinus . 4.OD (68.79 ± 4.4861) mm, OE (54.69 ± 4.0780) mm, ∠ AOD (31.29 ± 3.9984) °, ∠ AOB (35.66 ± 4.3879) °, ∠ AOC (26.21 ± 4.6434) °, and bilateral internal carotid arterial pressure trace distance away from the midline (left : 8.97 ± 1.6557mm, the right side of 9.18 ± 1.4291mm, bilateral spacing 18.15 ± 2.3714mm ) . Variation measurement results . Conclusion: The the sphenoid sinus CT scan three-dimensional reconstruction can be simple , intuitive and accurate reflection of patients sphenoid morphology and its relationship with the surrounding adjacent structures . Surgical options for patients who develop a reasonable , safe and effective to provide a more complete and useful imaging information transsphenoidal pituitary tumor resection .
