Diagnostic Value of CT Angiography in Posterior Circulation Ischemia Vertigo

Abstract


Purpose This paper aims to explore CT angiography (computed tomography angiography, CTA) on the posterior circulation ischemia vertigo diagnostic value , a clear cause of vertigo in patients with posterior circulation ischemic etiology for further medical or surgical treatment options and prognosis provide clinical basis . Methods January 2007 -2009 in February at the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University Medical College of vertigo in patients with posterior circulation ischemia develop inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were selected met inclusion and exclusion criteria of the posterior circulation ischemia vertigo 116 patients , and from the affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University Medical College examination center randomly selected 100 healthy people as the control group , two groups of clinical history and posterior circulation ischemia in patients with vertigo digital subtraction angiography (digital subtraction angiography DSA) and CTA examination were analyzed. Results after cycling through the 116 cases and 100 cases of patients with vertigo controlled clinical data analysis , logistic regression showed that hypertension, diabetes , hyperlipidemia posterior circulation ischemia vertigo as a risk factor (P lt; 0.05). CTA and DSA, comparative analysis of image data found in 116 patients , vascular examination revealed pure subclavian artery stenosis in 6 cases, anterior circulation vascular lesions in 2 cases , the results of CTA and DSA examination results. Another 108 cases were detected in patients with posterior circulation vascular abnormalities, including 16 cases of basilar artery stenosis , CTA and DSA were detected . To DSA results as the standard , CTA on 92 patients 184 vertebral artery examination sensitivity of 95.10% specificity was 92.68%, Kappa value = 0.8788, CTA and DSA diagnosis vascular stenosis results were positively correlated (r = 0.991, P lt; 0.001). Conclusion posterior circulation stenosis by CTA and DSA stenosis evaluation and the value of similar , can be well evaluated after vascular structural abnormalities of the posterior circulation ischemia vertigo diagnosis has important clinical value.
