One of the main symptoms of cleft palate patients with voice disorders, surgery can turn off the palate fissures and restore its local normal anatomy, voice disorders in patients with cleft palate is not a cure with the deformity repair, there are still 30% -50% patients with varying degrees of voice disorders, has brought great negative impact to the patient's physical and mental health and children with growth, but also greatly affecting the patient's quality of life. Although the voice treatment of cleft palate speech function recovery to be sure, but more concentrated in the language features when asked about 20 days, 1 or 2 times a day short-term intensive training, lack of continuous voice intervention. At the same time, the lack of a system of psychological intervention in patients with cleft lip and palate research reports, studies have reported no quality of life for patients with cleft palate. Objective To investigate the continuum of care intervention cleft palate speech disorders speech intelligibility, psychological status, quality of life effects provide the basis for implementation of effective nursing intervention for clinical practice. Methods A randomized control study was conducted from September 2008 to December 2009 80 cases of cleft palate speech disorders were randomly divided into intervention group (n = 41) and control group (39 cases). Conclusion continuous nursing intervention can promote patients with cleft palate speech intelligibility improvement, to improve the psychological status of patients, improve the patient's quality of life. Continuous comprehensive nursing intervention helps patients with full recovery of voice training and psychological support to patients with cleft palate.
