Abstract


Nowadays, there are more than one million of elevators investing the market in China. With high safety and stability, the elevator becomes more comfortable and reliable that is up to the evaluation criterion. Moreover, it gets more and more attention from each user. The safety incidents occur frequently due to the increasing demand for the production and usage of elevators with the increasing cost. Therefore, there is an immediate need for a comprehensive after-sales service management system standardizing the elevator maintenance, routine maintenance of processes to meet customers’ needs, to ensure the usage of elevators in a normal and safe way.The Elevator Maintenance Management System consists of two parts. On one hand it guides the maintenance personnel to have daily maintenance operations, and on the other it records the elevator maintenance for the future statistics and develops appropriate improvement measures to reduce the frequency of the elevator breakdown .Guiding the maintenance personnel with daily maintenance operations mainly depends on different situations of the elevator, such as the surrounding of the elevator, frequency of the usage, annual time, model and signed contract of the elevator. First of all, the system is according to certain logic to make a series of maintenance guidelines. Furthermore, the person in charge makes arrangements on this basis as well as operating time and distributed to all maintenance personnel. Finally, after the maintenance personnel take the last routine maintenance at the scene, they fill in the relevant form entered into the system for the future inspection and statistics. The Elevator Maintenance record is built up by hotline staff who collects customers’ data and questions. They record those data systematically. After that, through the internet, each individual point responds in arranging staff to have an on-site maintenance and fill statistics into the related maintance form recording to the system accordingly. At the end, the professionals determine the responsibility for the maintenance based on the actual situation. Monthly the system automatically analyzes statistical data for decision makers to develop appropriate measures.The system has combined the company current status with the business conditions, developing through using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and PowerBuilder 8.0. In this program, I am in charge and responsible for the project database, and report statistical data flow logic of the analysis, design and write stored procedure code etc. With the user-friendly operation and effective self-error detection mechanism, it ensures the data integrity and becomes more accurate.
