Abstract

Epoxy resin is a kind of thermosetting resin who has been widely used. In order to expand the application of epoxy resin, it is meaningful that improving heat resistance of epoxy resin.Ethynyl-containing resin had been extensively studied in recent years because of its excellent heat resistance. In this subject, we choose different methods to modify epoxy resin and we use various analysis techniques to study the modified resin. The main research object was epoxy resin matrix that modified by ethynyl and silicone resin. Curing reaction, molding, heat resisting property, mechanical properties and other properties related were studied.(1) 3-Aminophenylacetylene(APA) and diamino diphenyl sulfone(DDS) were used as the curing agents of E-51. DSC、FTIR、TGA were used to analysis the curing reaction of E-51/APA/DDS. Kissinger and Ozawa methods were also used to analysis the curing kinetics of E-51/APA/DDS. The casting and composite properties were studied by mechanical testing machines. The DSC results showed that the Tg of E-51/APA/DDS was 184℃, which was 15℃higher than E-51/DDS.(2) Tetra (3-acetylene aniline) silane (TEAS) was used as the curing agent of E-51. DSC FTIR、TGA were used to analysis the curing reaction of E-51/TEAS. Kissinger and Ozawa methods were also used to analysis the curing kinetics of E-51/TEAS. The composite properties were studied by mechanical testing machines. The results showed that the flexural strength of E-51/TEAS at 180℃was 350MPa, which was 146MPa higher than E-51/DDS.(3) Modified dicyclopentadiene dioxide(R-122) with TEAS. DSC、FTIR、TGA were used to analysis the curing reaction of R-122/TEAS. The composite properties were studied by mechanical testing machines. The results showed that the flexural strength of R-122/TEAS 240℃was 350MPa, which was 200MPa higher than R-122 composite.
