Abstract


With the expansion of the regional network , network storage of data storage devices have become increasingly demanding , and the pros and cons of the storage devices are fully reflected in the level of the performance of the server storage arrays . Storage array , system management and monitoring module - SCSI enclosure services (SCSI Enclosure Servers, SES) modules play significant role . Comes SCSI enclosure services module and computer - related equipment on the system running status monitor , and manage both manage disk device and the I2C bus device . Further enlargement of the market , competition is becoming increasingly fierce , storage system performance is getting better and better , stable and reliable running SCSI enclosure services module not only convenient maintenance and higher performance requirements . To a certain extent , the SCSI enclosure service module design is reasonable , whether the normal operation of a direct impact on the performance of the entire device . This thesis is based on some kind of storage arrays on the market as the research object , mainly for SCSI enclosure services module in the storage array performance deficiencies and lack of functional studies . Made through code programming and long-term equipment on-site testing , improved performance deficiencies and improve the function of the exploratory and innovative research , the main content of the paper is as follows : 1 . Storage system SCSI enclosure services device main from the coordination process ; . analog -swappable optical fiber can be remotely operated , interrupt the function of the link ; 3 . the small serial commands encryption function and serial debugging features to achieve ; 4 four optical interface circuit board HP2620 with HP host compatibility issues ; monitoring the processing of the device on the I2C bus ; storage array disk models of different manufacturers can achieve compatible use ; 7 . based on the level of the CPU temperature , system cooling fan intelligent speed control function ; this dissertation research and the realization of the above content , to ensure the stability and function of the performance of the storage array devices SCSI enclosure services module and perfect the relevant technical staff to more easily locate and solve the problem of equipment failure , and improve the efficiency of post-maintenance , and also to better improve the stability of operation of the storage array .
