Abstract


A branded product manufacturing enterprises are to eternity in the market, and continue to grow and develop, new product development, the quality of work carried out is essential, and the new product development process is the core of all operations of the business processes, it is the business of all The initial activity and source. In today's world market has experienced the baptism of the financial tsunami, and not yet out of the crisis in the context of an increasingly competitive market, customers on product performance, quality and price requirements more \less money into a small single variety of products for their personalized, diversified requirements, the previous product design and development concepts, methods be a great challenge, which requires companies for their new product development process to make a review, change to adapt to this change, and also changing market. M is a company headquartered in Wisconsin locks and security products manufacturer, founded in 1921, the main products are all kinds of locks, plant safety products, in today's market environment is also facing various challenges. In this paper, the use of process reengineering theory and methods to re-examine the M's new product development process, to identify the problems in the process, and the process for recycling in order to improve process efficiency, reduce product development costs and improve the quality of product development, enhance the competitiveness of enterprises purposes. In this paper, a method for enterprise diagnosis M's new product development process were studied. Full divided into four parts. The first chapter introduces the research background and significance, recalling the history of the development process reengineering theory and the theory of the formation process, introduced the process reengineering principles, methods and Path theory and its development; second chapter introduces the basic situation of Company M, product and market environment, and the M's original new product development process is described; third chapter of the original analysis of the new product development process, using the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Act (ASME: American Society of Mechanical Engineers) on recycling former M's new product development process were analyzed visually display the value-added and non-value added activities where the link; thus using activity-based costing (ABC: Activity-Based Costing) quantitatively calculate the actual cost of recycling before. Finally, the causal analysis of this qualitative analysis method to analyze the reasons for deleting the non-value-added chain. Chapter IV M in the third chapter of the company's original new product development process is analyzed in detail on the basis of this process has been recycled and made a detailed statement of recycling process of introducing a gateway to ideas and methods of management theory . This paper proposes a process reengineering expected to achieve results, and further clarified the reengineering of continuous improvement ideas for the M's new product development process reengineering pointed out the direction for the future development.
