With the trend of globalization, the exchanges of Chinese and Western architectural culture become more and more after lots of Western architects coming to China. As a design power, German architects have designed many charming works in China which provides a rich resource for our study of modern architecture.This thesis take the culture as a breakthrough point, to inquires about a deeper level of the cultural spirit - - the need of the order, surmounting the inner world, from the German national disposition, philosophy, art and religion. The paper elaborated the Germany buidings’special characteristics emphatically. And has analyzed the basic characteristics - - rationality and poetic.As well as Germany buildings essential feature: Dancing geometry, precise structure, plain emotion, sounds of nature echo. Analyzed the German present architecture ideas in-depth to mean, as well as in aspect of modelling, technology, material, environment and space design techniques. In the recent ten years, the German Architects Office has created the massive construction works in China. The Author through direct or indirect visit and practice, tried to prove the German Architect Office’s methods of working and the design ideas. Through to there work’s investigation on the multi-level, from the aspects on idea, function, space, material, technology, visual shape, artistic moral character and so on; the paper has unfolded the German architectrue’s special characteristics omni-directionally.Finally, the thesis summarizes the changes the German architectural works in China and the impact and contribution to contemporary Chinese architectural creation. Then it looks forwards to the development of contemporary Chinese architectural creation at the context of globalization.
