Abstract

Vehicle dynamic characteristic is an important indicator of the performance of automobiles, while the steering stability and ride comfort of the automobile are the important indicators of the vehicle dynamic characteristic, their stand or fall directly affect convenience in manipulation and ride comfort of the driver. This paper takes one pure electric vehicle as the research object, establishes the whole car virtual prototype model, and then the dynamic characteristic of which is simulated and analyzed with ADAMS to evaluate its dynamic characteristic; In the last, the fracture failure of the rear axle of this pure electric vehicle is studied, the main research content and innovation are as follows:(1) Establish the virtual prototype model of pure electric vehicle, and then carry out simulation analysis on the steady state rotation, the step angle, returnability at low speed and slalom test according to the national standards. The analysis results show that the pure electric vehicles have many advantages:favorable steering qualities, quick response to the turn signal, good returnability at low speed, strong ability to pierce bar;(2) Establish B-level random and pulse road surface according to the national standards, and then carry out simulation analysis on the steering stability test of the electric vehicle prototype model with car/ride module, the analysis results show that the ride comfort is good in the B-class roads, while in pulse roads, the comfort is favorable at low speed.(3) The fracture failure of the axle rear of this pure electric vehicle is studied with the finite element method, fatigue life analysis and experimental methods. First, establish the finite element model of the axle housing of rear axle; second, conduct modal analysis of this; last, forecast its fatigue life and verify it with experiments. By research and analysis, it is proved that the fracture of the rear axle which is fatigue fracture invalid cannot be caused by the road excitation. In this paper, dynamic characteristic of pure electric vehicles and fatigue life of rear axle are thoroughly studied through the combination of theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and experimental methods, which provide theoretical guidance and technical support for the development of pure electric vehicles.
