Abstract


It is widely believed that intellectual quality (IQ) alone will determine whether a man will success or not before the 80th last century. However, as more research penetrated in this area, it is clear that, although intellectual quality is significant in one’s career, but what is more indispensable is their none intellectual quality-emotional quality (EQ). Xiaoliang Mountain (located in Ninlang country) situated in a remote mountain areas in the Northwest of Yunnan Province, due to its inefficient connection with the outer world, the education thoughts their are very undeveloped. People there are still thought IQ alone determine whether one could make progress in their study, they have no idea that IQ and EQ both make important roles in one’s study. Because the people in Xiaoliang Mountain are mostly consisted by Yi, which is used to get married to the close relatives, the IQ level there are not satisfied. So it will be much useful to them when the education of IQ and EQ and associated.As we see before, it is necessary to pursue the research on the influence of EQ on the chemistry study of middle school students on Xiaoliang Mountain. It also will have the function of improving the education quality in Xiaoliang Mountain area.These aspects will be included in this paper:1. Preface. Background, meaning, methods and the structure of the research are included.2. Summary of none intellectual quality-emotional (EQ). This part is the theoretically foundation of the paper, including the forward, research condition and the brief introduction of the EQ.3. Practically research of EQ in Xiaoliang Mountain. .This part is mainly about the local study on high school students interest in learning chemistry, their motivation .emotion. desire and character and this research was carried on from 2006 to 2007.4.The methods of the development of EQ, according to the EQ problems which are found in research in daily teaching with suitable teaching methods in chemistry class.5. Conclusion. This part is about the result and achievement of this research and even the research prospect of EQ in Xiaoliang Mountain.
