Abstract

Cognitive mode, is the individual in the information processing demonstrated personalized and consistent manner preferences. Mainly refers to individuals tend to use extrinsic information or clues still tend to refer to their own independent judgment as to their own standards or stored information as a reference clues in cognitive processing in the performance analysis for the overall strategy and policy preferences. It is an important individual differences variable, its impact and performance in the cognitive process, but also reflected in the psychological characteristics of personality aspects. In recent years, studies have shown that cognitive mode is not only a dimension of personality structure, and more and more reflected in the individual's ability level, with a particular individual achievements are closely related. Research in the field of education, foreign experts in the field believe that almost all cognitive processing tasks, field independence are usually stronger in space missions, reading, mathematics and natural sciences field dependence than those who are more obtain higher academic achievement. Studies have found (Zhao Ni, Xuqun, 2007) in the presence of an independent individual letters and 2D and 3D graphics in both mental rotation reaction time and accuracy in both better. But on the field, as an independent individual cognitive style research on space missions, especially ERP few studies, requires further study. Research (O. Vitouch 1999; C. Lamm2001, 2003), found that the level of spatial information processing such as spatial ability between men and women have found that the former has a higher neural performance, further research (C.Lamm, 2005) found that the level of This difference between the ability may come from different strategies rather than ability. The results in terms of deepening neural efficiency theory is very important. However, the current research on the different abilities and different characteristics of the subjects why have different strategies, tactics and abilities have anything to do with what kind of ability as well as a relationship, and so are not very clear instructions. Exploration of these issues is conducive to understanding neurological performance and put this theory to expand into deeper range; also beneficial for the relevant capabilities provide the basis for consultation and training. For example, if the difference between the performance of different abilities who have different strategies and choose the appropriate task strategy differences, then we can train this ability allows trainees to focus on how to generate more strategic thinking and to compare the kind of strategy more effective on; while as trainers can give learners solving strategies as well as provide more explanation on the effectiveness of the policy. From a more general sense, but also for our understanding of differences in intelligence provides a clue. Given previous research, this study cognitive mode and space capabilities combine to 64 workstations as the main guide ERP techniques discussed cognitive mode and the close links between spatial ability and visual-spatial information processing of individual differences the brain mechanisms were studied. Specifically, this study the following conclusions: 1. Course independent entity and field dependent individuals when compared to investment in the processing of spatial information less mental energy, which leads to this result is mainly due to individual cognitive mode of information processing have different preferences; This preference so find and choose a different processing strategies, and different central executive capacity may also play a role. (2) Field Independence and Field Dependence individuals behave differently when visuospatial processing, field independent individuals only in the occipital region some brain areas, parietal, frontal and temporal lobe brain regions of some brain areas while the negative wave field dependence individuals in almost the entire scalp negative wave, and field dependence than individuals on both sides of the midline area showed higher activation; such individual differences and cognitive mode strategy adopted by relevant; caused by the policy of different brain activation differences in hemispheric dominance studies should be considered.
