Abstract


Mainly as a humorous, humor, language is very common in our lives. Because of the the humorous language often appear the sessions form of life, which makes it a distinctive Pragmatic characteristics. And Pragmatics of many books and articles, we often can see an example of the language conversational humor with the analysis, we can see the humor and Pragmatics has a very close relationship. Humor language often have one or several pragmatic characteristics. Humor as an extremely popular language phenomenon, caused the attention of the researchers in many areas, such as linguistics, rhetoric, aesthetics, philosophy and sociology and so on. Recalling the past, of sitcom humor studies done, we found that these studies are mostly limited to discourse analysis, language translation, cross-cultural research and other fields. Less at home and abroad Comparative Study of Chinese and English humor, the humor of the American sitcom \The papers on the basis of the current domestic and international research to language theory principles of cooperation, politeness principle, Context theory as the theoretical framework, the U.S. sitcom \generation of humor session with the understanding of the comparative analysis to discover the convergence of Chinese and English humor generated in the process of communication as well as in different contexts, different language and cultural differences, how to understand the humor, and is intended to guide people more appreciate the humor, good humor.
