Abstract


With our current UHV grid construction as the core is the rapid development of the electromagnetic environment has gradually become the dominant factors of the engineering design and final cost . Our vast climatic and environmental conditions vary , the transmission line conductor design data has been difficult to meet the requirements , at the same time , the construction of high-voltage transmission projects also face unique high - altitude environment impact greatly at high altitudes , the air relative density reduced, the distance between the air molecules to increase , such that the free travel of the electrons becomes large , and easier to obtain sufficient kinetic energy is conducive to the occurrence of a corona discharge , if designed according to the traditional wire , the high altitudes wire corona loss , radio interference will be greatly improved, and audible noise and corona effects are likely to exceed the standard requirements . Thus, high altitude will highlight the the Transmission Project electromagnetic environmental issues , in-depth study and take the necessary measures to control . Medium corona cage wire AC corona characteristics in order to study the high altitude and environmental climate law design can be placed in an artificial environment in a climatic chamber to accurately study the different types of wires in altitude , temperature , humidity , atmospheric density , different climatic conditions such as rain, snow and frost , the variation of radio interference and audible noise level , this article describes only the altitude factors conductor corona characteristics .
