Abstract


With the development of economy and the improvement of living standard, people have no longer been satisfied with traditional residence. Then a safety, convenient, comfortable and energy-saving smart home environment emerges as the times require. Also smart home is the inevitable trend in the future. Considered as an important part in the system, hand-held terminals and their analysis are not enough in the present, so it is quite necessary to research them.The research object in this paper is hand-held terminal of smart home, it proposes the design of it. We choose TI’s OMAP3530 dual-core processor as its hardware platform. Users can query and control the devices by communication between ZIGBEE and home gateway. It also uses the powerful software platform - the Google-led Android platform by which we program the interface.It first comes up with the introduction of smart home system and hand-held terminal, current situation following the necessary of research hand-held terminal. Then it proposes the overall design of the terminal including hardware and software. Key of this paper is research and realization of software of the terminal, such as building the development environment, transplanting Android, programming the interface, analyzing protocols between terminal and gateway and how the application layer of Android calls the bottom layer.
