Abstract


In this thesis, the notion of \manifested to man the ultimate basis of its own existence from the other side of the classical era or his hands returned to the person itself , that people have absolute freedom , but I believe that people own their own noble responsibility embodied freedom, equality , fraternity the main components of modern ethical and individual principles . This is the modern connotation . The modern structure can be defined by two levels from the subjective and objective , the objective level, including changes in the form of national ideology , economic system , legal system and other social systems , mainly refers to the ethos ( the experience structure ) the structural transformation subjective . The Modernity process Liren or enlightenment process , the direction of \\May 4th literature and literature in the new as the first chapter and the second chapter of the text to a specific analysis of the ethos of the Chinese nation in the two periods inward from the external principle in the principle of transition . Specifically, the May Fourth Literature from the reverse , forward , Liren modern concept of \regeneration . Chapter from the causes and nature of the death of the two periods , \the time taken to preaching, specification , modern spirit and is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people but to stay on the surface , resulting in both the May Fourth period or the new era failed to intrinsic principle carry out in the end , come to modernity in China items unfinished business with this conclusion.
