Abstract

Toni Morrison is the first African-American women writers, won the Nobel Prize for Literature, which are having a profound impact on the field of world literature. This also marks the black writers, especially black women writers occupy an important position in the field of literature. Morrison has authored many reflect African Americans, especially black women protest novel. Full of affectionate strokes, she portrayed a lot of the image of black women reflects their recognition of the value systems of whites, especially white patriarchal social and cultural struggle, as well as from the pursuit of self-identity, and pursue the course of the return of the native culture. At the same time, Morrison by the mainstream Western culture and the influence of traditional African culture in the interaction of the two cultures, Morrison works clever use the feminist myths prototype to shape its black female characters, creating a lot of good works . \This paper attempts to use of myth and archetypal criticism of feminist theory to interpret the image of women in the novel \The revolt of hope as well as blacks desire for the return of the traditional culture. On the other hand, the author is also trying to explore the future direction of the black women and black culture, attempts to combine Western white mainstream culture and traditional African culture to rebuild traditional values, and culture, and strive to find the black men and women as well as black culture and white culture harmonious balance. The text is divided into four chapters. The first chapter begins with a brief introduction of major works of Toni Morrison's life and its creation; followed by a brief introduction to the main content of the novel \reviews and perspectives. The second chapter launched the third wave of the formation and development of the theory of myth and archetypal criticism and feminist criticism and contemporary Western feminist feminist myth criticized the theory for a simple introduction. The third chapter is the focus of this article discusses, focusing on analysis the feminist myths prototype application of two novel \Novel Sula, Morrison borrow the Western mythology prototype Lilith to create heroine Sula, and to explore the Eve African traditional image of the myth of the Great Mother of God, intended to reproduce the image of black women in the myth prototype to find black self-identity as well as the return of the traditional African culture. Similarly, in the novel \at the balance and harmony of the traditional culture, is intended to keep blacks of traditional culture and find a new future. The fourth chapter is the conclusion. First, summarized the typical image of women in these two novels, \Then pointed out that Toni Morrison's creative use of the feminist myth the archetypal criticism shaped the typical image of a female figure, intended to evoke black women search for self-identity, and the return of the black culture revival. Morrison claims feminism is black women in the pursuit of personal liberation, in the process of self to unify the pursuit of gender equality and national culture, and the black African traditional culture and western white culture combine to achieve true harmony resonate.
