Abstract


Throughout the Greater Mekong Subregion region , the the Thai NGO earliest , organizations build the most perfect role and impact , provides favorable conditions for the study of the political participation of non - governmental organizations . Classified according to American scholar Kraton (Korten) NGO is based on the Thai NGO , political participation is divided into three stages . The first stage is the 1960s , the focus of this phase Thailand NGO is the basic material needs of the people , the main activities is to provide relief and welfare for people . The second stage is 60-70 years of the 20th century , the focus of this phase Thailand NGO internal build many NGO focus on a variety of topics . The third stage since 1980s , this stage is a Thai NGO flourishing and maturing stage , after they complete their own construct mature , and gradually formed a covering social network structure began in play a role in the affairs of the whole country and even region . A more relaxed political environment in Thailand is the political foundation for the political participation of non-governmental organizations in Thailand . The way of the political participation of non-governmental organizations in Thailand is fully reflected in the decision-making tacit participation of the public interest . Political participation strategy including grassroots participation in community strategies , build alliances and policy initiatives . Their political participation is characterized by the formation of a very well-developed networks and coordinating bodies . Thai NGO political participation of domestic and foreign affairs of Thailand affected the internal positive impact mainly in expanding the scope of political participation in Thailand to promote Thai political socialization process , promote political democracy in Thailand good governance ; negative impact is mainly manifested in increased instability in the society in Thailand . External impact is mainly reflected in the behavior and activities of the environmental NGO , increased diplomatic cooperation activities on the one hand , but on the other hand , these diplomatic activities increased friction and obstruction . NGO management in Thailand is mainly reflected in two ways , first by the laws , policies and regulations to guide the direction of the activities of the NGO ; through administrative means , mandatory supervision and management .
