Abstract


This article to our country 2003-2007 in Shanghai and shenzhen stock exchange listed private enterprises as samples, the empirical study on the political relations of private enterprise profit ability, the influence of the results found that executives political background have significant positive effects on corporate profitability. Further research also found that the executives of local political background impact on corporate profitability than the central political background effect significantly; Executives have political background in enterprise's concrete position different have different impact on corporate profitability; Executives of the NPC and CPPCC background impact on corporate profitability is greater than the background of government officials. These results indicate that the political relationship is a kind of valuable resources, promotes the development of private enterprises.
