Abstract


Chinese University Basketball Association (CUBA) and the Chinese University Basketball Super League (CUBS)has become an important part of cultural life in institutions of higher learning. Owing to the unique culture and functions of basketball, it has been well known and gradually excavated, causing more and more institutions of higher education leaders, college students and the general public’s attention and participation. But the two national college basketball tournament start late and lack of relevant experience, there are some shortcomings and problems that are difficult to be satisfied in its development process. Basketball was born in universities of the United States, and it has been 70 years since American University Basketball Association (NCAA Basketball) was founded. League organizers has developed a set of organization system and operation mechanism that is from the establishment of rules and regulations to the implementing of league work, and comprehensive, the reasonable supervision and the smooth and efficient system through a long period of exploration and practice. It not only enriches the cultural life of American universities, but also attracts a lot of great concern and enthusiastic support of Americans and a world-renowned major training base for athletes of United States Basketball League (NBA). It successfully obtains benefits through the pattern of business operation to show there is the huge economic potential of the event; it provides a successful example for Chinese colleges and universities sports to solve the long-term and difficult situation due to lacking of funds and inadequate; U.S. college basketball League (NCAA basketball) adheres to the concept of non-professional sports, the management model of combining P.E.and education,and the league system of adaptting to education, which have provided us with valuable experiences. With the method of literature, research and visit, experience and observation,and comparative study, etc.. the thesis analyzes and studies the operating mechanism and competition system of the League of Chinese and American college basketball, the system of learning and training of college athletes and coaches’appointment and the market development of college basketball league, etc., even the different ways taken in the operation to conclude that:1.The management system of the national collegiate sports should be composed by the majority of tertiary institutions, base on the constitution and the system to ensure that their power to encourage them to actively exercise and complete the obligations.2. The formulation of the competition system of students sports activities should be able to stimulate the majority of tertiary institutions to support and input on college students sports movement greatly; through the competition system to ensure that the fun games are colorful and students’sports competitive level can be prompted continuously; the formulation of the competition system of students sports should fully protect college athletes’ characteristics of the physiological development in favor of the cultivation of talents.3.Students Sports Organization should give the strict requirements to college athletes’recruitment, learning, and training in tertiary institutions through the system to ensure the comprehensive development of the college athletes.4.College basketball league should pay attention to the capabilities of competition team coaches to take such as clearing access conditions, continuing education, practice in professional clubs, etc. to enable them to mature soon.5.The market development of the college basketball league depends largely on the competitive level of the league, as long as the league is enough to attract the general public, it will form the commercial market of attracting many companies.Through the analysis and study on Chinese and American college basketball league, the thesis makes relevant recommendations for the relevant departments to reference and looks forward to contributing their own modest to the development of the students’ sports career.
