Abstract


The process of software development also involves trust construction. Because of a large number of personnel and complex environment factors in the software development process, trust environment would be more difficult. Software development is a life cycle of activity, how to establish, maintain and enhance mutual trust throughout the whole process, the factors in each different phases of the life cycle impacting trust constitute may be different, and whether if they interplay all phases, etc. these problems are the research hotspots nowadays.The software development process involves users’trust to developers and the development of the whole environment and process. The trust in the environment is a continuous and dynamic process, from the formation of initial trust to sustained trust development. And factors influencing the trust in each specific stage are different. This paper took the phrases of the life cycle into consideration, starting from the original phrase and viewing in static viewpoint. This paper did the system research on the user’s trust in software development process and its dynamic evolution problems. In static perspective, this paper constructed the research model, and then used the empirical research to prove the model. The study and the main contribution are shown as: from the three aspects (the company features, system characteristic and environment characteristics), constructing Initial trust comprehensive model in the initial stage of the software development life cycle processes, mainly analyzing these factors influencing the initial trust, including the communication mechanism, user attitudes, conflict control, software development initial trust, trust tendency, reputation and task features in the software development process. The results of the study indicated that the company features factors and system characteristic factors significantly affected initial trust formation; the user tendencies characteristic factors also significantly influence the initial trust.
