Abstract


Terms of semantic study linguistics concern a relatively small area , the linguists disagreement large an area . Many people think that the terminology itself does not make sense , it is only alleged function and no representation function . But we can not ignore the proper nouns in many cases may be caused by the special emotional and psychological reaction of the listener or the reader . This phenomenon is contrary to the view of meaningless terminology . Therefore , the authors focus on the significance of terms , hoping to find a reasonable explanation . As a proper noun semantic study of ordinary practice of the semantics field of proper nouns of interest in several major theories on the significance of proper nouns in this article thinking , from the use of select the abundant examples of proper nouns meaning embodies the formation and development are discussed . The article is divided into three parts . The first part , from Saussure's theory of symbols , clear the scope of the nouns , and analyzes the difference between common nouns and proper nouns and their respective characteristics . Of several theories and concepts related terminology meaning in the second part of the discussion , and instances of language use as the basis for the understanding of the terminology meaning . In the third section , we analyze the causes of the terminology significance , research development and meaning of proper nouns derived phenomenon and other issues . Experts and readers a lot due to the limited time , and yet the author research level , this paper inadequacies please correct me .
