Abstract


Traditional linguists and translation theorists believe that the natural language ambiguity is a defect in the translation process should be eliminated , and the context is the main way to eliminate the ambiguity in the translation process . From the communication point of view , the ambiguity can be divided into no intention of ambiguity and deliberate ambiguity , which is considered to be positive , should be retained through translation skills in the translation process . Diplomatic ambiguity is more common a phenomenon in the foreign language , and its purpose is to make the parties to the conflict to consensus is deliberately ambiguous areas . Research based on the translation of ambiguity and ambiguity of diplomatic ambiguity and its translation research aimed at discovering the special nature of diplomatic ambiguity translation . This article first use of the theory of critical discourse analysis of diplomatic ambiguity , in order to find its hidden behind ideological factors . Therefore , the diplomatic ambiguity as a form of deliberate ambiguity is not always positive , nor should always be retained in the translation process ; \is asked to translator and its patron ideology .
