Abstract


Shaw later after Shakespeare , to create a landmark figure in Britain now a new situation in the contemporary theater . But as a tragedy, \This article from the perspective of the tragedy on \Based on the new era , our understanding of this tragedy will be different from the past, mainly because of the viewers ' understanding of the tragedy has changed . In by combing the evolution of the concept of tragedy in the first chapter , we first give the basis of the analysis of \\tragedy. Of this tragedy rational and tragedy emotional factors play a significant role . In the second chapter , based on the time from the principle set a new understanding of the significance of Joan of Arc system , George Bernard Shaw for the audience , she is presented to the patriotic spirit of the ( national spirit ) , war, power and humanity on . The stage also pointed out that Joan of Arc twice to destroy the state , to the audience the call of the soul \, the tragic emotions of the audience to a climax. On the basis of the previous two chapters , Chapter responded to the open structure of the \torture of human nature more deeply .
