The new curriculum emphasizes teacher’s analysis and reflection of their own teaching behaviors, advocates establish teacher self-evaluation, principals, teachers, students and parents all participate in evaluation system, prominent teacher self-evaluation importance.Teacher self-evaluation is a process of self-awareness, self-analysis, self-improving for the education and teaching activities process and results, which taking teachers themselves as the main part, according to certain evaluation criteria, using scientific evaluation methods. Primary school teacher self-evaluation plays a very important role in improving the quality of teaching and promoting teacher specialization development. The theory of Life-long education, teacher specialization, hierarchy of needs, humanistic management all provide theoretical basis for teacher self-evaluation.Based on the literature review of teacher self-evaluation, the writer selects part primary school teachers in Dalian at random, using questionnaire investigation and individual interview. It includes five parts: the personal factors, purpose and function, content and criterion, methods and timing, the school factors. The problems has been summarized, including the level of awareness and ability to self-evaluation is not enough, the evaluation content is incomplete, evaluation methods is single, the participation of teacher as the main part in evaluation is inadequate. Therefore, the writer puts forward some suggestions from the preparation, implementation and sum up stages of evaluation for teachers and school leaders. The preparation stage is mainly for the school aspect, including establish teacher self-evaluation system, set up the correct evaluation idea, enhance the knowledge and skills of teacher evaluation; the implementation stage is mainly for teacher, including clear about the purpose of teacher self-evaluation, formulate different teacher self-evaluation indicator system, chose suitable methods of teacher self-evaluation; the sum up stage is mainly for using evaluation results. Hope through these suggestions, promotes the level of teacher self-evaluation.
