Abstract


High school students is in physiology the psychological critical period of development, but also facing significant pressure for further education or employment, psychological conflict and emotional and behavioral problems of high stage. High school art students as a special group of high school students, they often have to bear the greater psychological pressure to accept more brutal competition. Not only do they have to go through the course test, go through the examination of cultural classes, will it be possible to truly step into the college door. Therefore, understanding the mental health status of this group, it is very necessary to improve the level of their mental health. This study, a survey of high school art students' mental health and coping style situation, to understand the status of mental health and coping styles of high school art students as well as the relationship between the two, and analyze the reasons of mental health problems caused by high school art students, thus explore solutions approach with measures. This study used questionnaires, 520 high school students were selected of Suzhou sixth secondary, SCL-90 and coping style scale as a research tool, research on high school art students in mental health, coping style and its relationship , the survey found that: 1. Suzhou sixth high school art students' mental health level was significantly lower than the national secondary school students. The art students are generally lower than the level of mental health non-art students. The level of mental health in general boys than girls. The mental health of the high first-year students is generally higher than the level of senior grade. The level of mental health of the poor students is slightly lower than the non-poor students, but no significant differences in each factor. High school art students of special family mental health level is generally lower than normal family. Accommodation of high school art students are generally lower than the level of mental health day students. Class leadership of the level of mental health in general, better than the non-class leadership, but the difference was not significant in each factor. The level of mental health of rural high school art students are generally lower than the city's high school art students. 2. Suzhou sixth middle school, high school art students coping style most problem-solving, followed by fantasy, help, self-blame, using the least evasive. Non-art students to use more than the art students seeking social support, coping style. The high school art students respond to the way gender differences are not significant. More senior grade students than the high first-year students to use problem-solving, avoidance, and coping style fantasy. Poor students to use evasive coping style more than the non-poor students. No significant difference in the use of students in a normal family with special family coping styles. Students to stay more than day students to use self-blame coping style. Class leadership more than non-class leadership problem solving coping. Rural students than urban students more use of self-blame coping style. 3. Suzhou sixth high school art students mental health factor general problem solving and seeking social support was significantly negatively correlated with avoidance, self-blame, the fantasy was a significant positive correlation. That use more problem-solving and seeking social support, coping style, the higher the level of mental health. On the contrary, the more use of avoidance, self-blame, lower levels of mental health and coping style fantasy. The study in favor of our deep understanding of the high school art students' mental health and coping style situation as well as the relationship between mental health education in high school art students in the educational process, and guide them to cope effectively.
