Abstract


The sunk panel art of Xinjiang uygur traditional architecture is the core of Xinjiang uygur traditional architectural decoration, it is essential parts too. Among them the type is various, with all style, fully showing the uygur nation’s cultural characteristics and mental outlook. The sunk panel art of Xinjiang uygur traditional architecture is formed by the interaction formation of Xinjiang the unique geographical environment, social and human environment and national history religion, culture and so on. Which not only reveals the national unique traditional and characteristic and carris the culture memory of Xinjiang traditional architectural. Based on the field photograph, measurement methods to investigate the Xinjiang around state, county, city, and looked up a lot of documental materials and used the method of a history and existing reference to research. The text systematically sorted out the forms and means of the sunk panel art of Xinjiang uygur traditional architecture, combined with our nation’s ancient history of similar or identical point to analogy, synthesized Xinjiang special geographical position and the historical and cultural background, and consulted the opinions of expert to interpret the meaning of the decoration, and explain the reason which this kind of adornment style yielded in Xinjiang.
