Abstract

Liquefaction is more common in the earthquake , liquefaction ground failure, resulting in a large number of buildings destroyed . However, liquefaction was positive in engineering use . For example , vibration grouting is used to handle soft ground , the method first shock and vibration by vibrating machinery , in foundation softening zone is formed , and then use the hydraulic slurry grouting pipe into the sand ; liquefied pan through the vibration of the concrete pulp and then rolled to form RCC (RCC) and so on. Object of this paper is an aqueous saturated fine sand , for which the vibration loads can liquefy the engineering characteristics in different working conditions , the use of static penetrometer measured fine sand cone tip resistance , high contrast frequency vibration around the cone tip resistance changes, analyzed and discussed the vibration load time , frequency of vibration loads , vibration loads from factors such as the effect of the degree of soil liquefaction ; using the viscometer after liquefaction under different conditions viscosity , by comparing the change in viscosity after liquefaction , discussed the rheological properties of the sand . Study found that: 1 ) at different time under vibration loads , vibration, longer liquefaction effect is more obvious, but there is a critical liquefaction time , exceeds the critical liquefaction time , the effect will not be increased liquefaction ; 2 ) in different vibrational loads role distance, liquefaction effect with increasing distance from the vibration loads becomes obvious, vibration load acting on the sand while the propagation attenuation with distance increase , leading to liquefaction effect weakened ; 3 ) sand liquefaction vibration frequency increases as will become apparent , in particular vibration frequency and the load of sand close to the natural frequency , because of resonance effects , the most obvious effect liquefaction time ; 4 ) in the powder before and after the high-frequency vibration sand significantly reduced apparent viscosity , there is the phenomenon of shear thinning . Liquefaction characteristics of silty sand is still a non-Newtonian fluid , power-law fluids.
