Abstract


The construction industry is not only an important pillar of China’s economic development industry, but also an important aspect to stabilize China’s industrialization and urbanization. China has been implicated by the global financial crisis in various industries, but the construction industry is still one of the critical driven sources of GDP. Small and Medium Enterprises for the construction industry plays an important role in scientific development, and make irreplaceable contributions to China’s urbanization and modernization.Risk management is generally the weak aspect in the construction enterprises, especially small and medium construction enterprises. The paper, based on the current domestic and international risk management theory, do some basic research and analysis to the current small and medium sized construction enterprise risk management problems. In addition, the paper describes the basic definitions of small enterprise, project risk, risk management and systematically introduce the risk identification, risk estimation, and risk monitoring method.Considering the characteristics of small and medium construction enterprises and study the theories of Risk Management, A risk management systems, which is suitable for small and medium sized construction enterprise to apply, is established in this paper, including security system, work processes and working mechanisms. At the same time a set of construction for small and medium enterprise risk management tools and management processes are explored. Finally, an instance with details is given. The research is done on both qualitative and quantitative aspects. In this case, I analyze how to apply risk management system to the whole process of project risk management, and demonstrate that the risk management system is available for small and medium construction enterprises to implement effective projects operational risk management and provide the technical support to the project. I hope that the result of this research can promote the development of small and medium sized construction enterprise in the project risk management.
