Abstract


The methodology of perspective of O’Connor’s critical theory is said that the coming. He made a new location of natural category and cultural category in Historical Materialist. He thinks traditional historical materialism in natural and cultural dimensions somewhat "missing". He put forward: productivity has two dimensions, production relations have double dimension too. On this basis, He expounded on new relationship about natural, social labor and culture. This is the logic starting point of his theory.His criticisms of capitalism embodied in: From the Angle of ecology destruction of the capitalist, he made a new interpretation of the basic contradiction in capitalism. From the Angle of ecology crisis of capitalist, he made contemporary interpretation on economic crisis in capitalism, demonstrating the sustainable development and capitalist is disharmony. He points out that only ecology socialism is the only choice to resolve the crisis.O’Connor followed the critical step of Marxist Philosophy, inherited and rich Marxist theoretical connotation. His critical theory contains a huge historical sense and pressing social reality sense, which makes the critical spirit of Marxist Philosophy is light shines in the new era. The unique ecological view in his theory has important reference and reference value on solving development and ecological equilibrium problems to our country.Although the critical theory of O’Connor have unique ideas and values, it still unavoidably internal defects. He was not directly contacted and studied the works of Marxist. His interpretation of Marxism is abstract and unilateral. His criticisms of capitalism exists incompleteness. His idea of Ecology Socialist lacks revolutionary.
