The video image processing technology is a key component of the video image application , it can improve the quality of the video image , the key information extracted from the video image , or through data transformation for image compression . This paper studies the status quo and development trend of video image processing field , focused on several key technologies in this field , such as image scaling , the theoretical gamma correction points and hardware implementation , improvement and innovation on the part of the traditional algorithm . In this paper, a frame memory image scaling architecture , five row cache implementation bicubic algorithm can be stepless high-precision image scaling and effective compensation circuit designated error ; based edge detection error diffusion gamma horse correction method, the combination of gamma correction and error diffusion , thereby enhancing correction accuracy. As an application for video processing technology , this paper studied an emerging technology in the field of security - the basic principles of intelligent video surveillance and related algorithms , proposed solutions and achieve a viable method . This scheme can be implemented on FPGA , can be used to automatically detect tripwire intrusion monitoring area specific events .
